"Sikorsky S-42 "Alaska Clipper"

These four-engined flying boats were used primarily by Pan American Airlines in the thirties. The "Alaska Clipper flew round trips from Seward, Alaska, to Honolulu, Hawaii. Service was superb, with one flight attendant for each four or five passengers, fine wines, sirloin steak dinners, and so on. Seats were spacious and comfortable, and decor was top quality.

This ivory model has over two hundred pieces. Each engine has thirty eight pieces. The white rind jade base is extremely rare. Included is a walnut-edged, glass case.
